Luna Cohen, Jewish Women Choosing Islam Together Husband


Luna Cohen, born in the city of Tetouan, Morocco Jewish family. At age 16, she had left the family home in Moroccan home to continue his studies at the Bet Yaakov girls' school in Washington Heights, Manhattan, USA. Bet Yaakov is an Orthodox Jewish school called racist.

The age of 18 he decided to marry a man who until recently was her husband. Since getting married, Luna and her husband moved three times in the apartment residence is in Brooklyn, New York since she and her husband was never happy living in the Jewish community where he lived. A married couple was then decided to build a future in Israel. Luna along with her husband when it was blessed with four children, eventually moving to Israel.

When he arrived in Israel, Luna and his family lived Jewish settlement of Gush Qatif in the Gaza Strip. Luna admitted undergoing tough times by sight "way of life" of the Jews in their homes and asked the husband so they moved it to the Netivot, located approximately 23 kilometers to the north in the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

"We see their actions as their actions are bad and selfish. At this point, my husband did not agree with the attitude of the Jewish people, "said Luna.

Until one day Luna husband who is also Jewish but secular, came home and said that was just reading the Koran and decided to convert to Islam. Luna did not know that her husband has been widely studied Islam through dialogue he had with a Muslim Arab Emirates origin whom he met when he was living in Gush Qatif settlement. For two years my husband and acquaintances Muslim Luna was discussing Judaism and Islam.

Hearing her husband's statement to Islam, Luna admitted very, very shocked. "Because in Judaism, we are always taught to hate other religions," said Luna, who actually questioned the teachings he considered "selfish" it.

But the husband is wise enough and said that Luna should still embrace the Jewish religion if they did not convert to Islam, because in Islam, a Muslim man may marry a woman of the book. Luna husband had converted to Islam and take the name of Islam Yousef al-Khattab.

Two weeks after her husband converted to Islam, Luna interested in reading the Quran and when he read it, Luna felt all the lingering questions in his head answered all the al-Quran. Luna then followed her husband to say two sentences creed and became a Muslim. Qamar Luna chose the name as the name of Islam.

Because the situation is not possible for them to stay longer within Israel, it was then decided to convert the family moved to Morocco, the country of origin Luna in 2006. Until now, couples Qamar Yousef al-Khattab and happy life amid Moroccan Muslim brothers and find true life after finding the truth in the way of Islam.
