Danny, Discovering Islam from Al-Qur'an Stolen

Seeing Danny Herman de Annan family, we like to see most American families. Morning they started at 06.30. They breakfast together, before all the family members disperse to the respective activities. What distinguishes: so get up, the whole family berwudlu for later morning prayers together.

For De Annan, the family is a haven in the world for him. A family as it is now, no one had ever imagined.

Danny Herman de Annan, now 33, was born in Queens, New York. His father and his mother Puerto Rican nationality, who raised his children as Catholics.

In the U.S., de Annan had experienced "one slang". He joined the youth gangs and street crime often. One case drove him in jail.

Behind prison walls, de Annan had much time to reflect. "I am here. Living in a cage like an animal, "he tells his inner struggle at that time. "I do not want to be like this anymore."

In prison, he began to know God. He studied many religions of fellow prisoners. He also had more time to examine some reading.

Significant changes in his life, starting when he was reading the Koran that secretly stole from the prison library. Older translations of the Qur'an that he was contemplating. In his mind, he began to acknowledge and fit with the concept of God in Islam.

Hidayah ditindaklanjutinya after his sentence is completed. He diligently went to Islamic discussions. Until he finally decided to accept Islam.

At that Danny had stopped drinking and smoking. A friend introduced him to the religious leaders of the Islamic Education Center in North Bergen.

Process pengislamannya pretty unique. The priests at the Islamic Center was not necessarily the desire of de Annan to convert to Islam. They want, he berislam sincerely, not getting carried away or emotion.

At that time, all the people in the prayer room, arrayed prayer. Danny instructed to sit and look at it. But he moved. "I do not want to wait nine months to just watch others pray while I am not," he said. He also asked diislamkan before prayer begins. An hour later, he was in the ranks of rows, pray.

De Annan Abdullah Muslim names, or 'servant of God' and began to introduce Islam to parents and siblings. They now embrace Islam.

A few years after becoming a Muslim, de Annan find her moorings, an American-born Muslim convert, Mark Lay. With Lay lah, he is now neck and neck guard "heaven" them; households with three children.
